Thank you for joining the Running for Premature Babies group in the SMH Half Marathon.

Our goal is to raise $250,000 for a new monitoring system for the babies in the highest level of Newborn Intensive Care (NICU) at the Royal Hospital for Women’s Newborn Care Centre. Together we can give premature babies a better chance of survival!

We will provide 16 weeks of free training, regular social events and a free team running kit and all we ask in return is for each runner in our group to please raise at least $200 for our cause. We are so grateful for your support!

  • What we’ve achieved so far

To date approximately 4000 babies at the Royal Hospital for Women’s Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) have benefited from our fundraising, and some of the sickest babies would not have survived without it. We’ve raised $2.5 million which has provided 29 pieces of life saving equipment and $600,000 of research to advance the care of premature babies for the future.

Please join our team in the SMH Half Marathon and help us save the lives of more premature babies and ensure that more parents get to take their babies home.
